“Hi Rose” he wished her every morning without even a nod in response. No one knew him or acknowledged his existence; not even his own cubicle mate of years. He was invisible. Even to the Cabbie who nearly knocked him off this morning.
As he settled in his chair, Joseph entered to chat up Ms. Rose.
“It’s some Matthew, our floor! Did you know him?” He steamed in, all excited.
“I don’t think so. Pray he rests in peace.” She replied with concern.
He stared at her as the morning’s trauma hit Invisible Matt as hard as the cab had.
The first transition.
The discovery of a new way, and that endless opportunities exist.
